Alides HiddingAlides Hidding is a Dutch singer, guitarist, and songwriter, best known as the founder and frontman of the internationally acclaimed pop-funk band Time Bandits.

After an early solo hit with “Hollywood Seven,” Hidding launched Time Bandits—a band that fused disco, funk, soul, and pop with his distinctive falsetto voice. The group rose to international prominence in the 1980s with hits like “Live It Up,” “I’m Specialized in You,” “Listen to the Man with the Golden Voice,” and “I’m Only Shooting Love.” Their music charted worldwide, including in the U.S., France, Australia, and New Zealand, and led to extensive touring across continents.

In the late 1980s, Hidding moved to Los Angeles, where he collaborated with renowned songwriters such as Dan Hartman and Charlie Midnight. After returning to Europe, he focused on writing for other artists, contributing to releases by Dana Winner, Jennifer Rush, The Nylons, and several Eurovision entries.

Today, Alides Hidding continues to perform actively, both as the frontman of Time Bandits and as a featured artist with the Nederpop All Stars. In 2021, he reached a new audience through his appearance on the Dutch television show Beste Zangers.

With a career spanning decades, Hidding remains a vital figure in Dutch pop music, known for his unmistakable voice, songwriting craft, and energetic live performances.
