A new musical project has been put together by Ilja Reijngoud. Together with his new quartet and the young and wonderfully talented Elizabeth Simonian there is now ‘Around the World’. A project with Greek, Armenian and Swedish jazz music. The Around the World program is built around the sphere of Greek and Armenian traditional music and Scandinavian jazz. It includes originals by Elizabeth, Ilja and piano player Kris Goessens. Music that is coloured with Swedish poetry, ancient songs and Mediterranean influences.
